Burnout Solutions
Effective stress and burnout therapy begins with awareness. Here’s how Dr. Kandis, ND, approaches it:
- Notice: Become aware of the cues your mind and body give you by learning to engage with your body and your thoughts in a new way.
- Manage: It may be wise to use supplementation and diet to support your body’s energy cycle, to sustain energy and adrenal function. Management also involves coaching you through boundaries, over-giving, overachieving and accepting support so that you can continue to live the life you want to live.
Coaching
Sometimes we feel stuck. If you have found yourself saying, “I need to do X but don’t know why I can’t,” or “I am just not motivated to do X even though I know it’s good for me,” you are not alone. We have habitual ways of being and patterns that are often hard to unstick. Working with an embodied approach (working with the body and our thoughts), Dr. Kandis, ND, can help you develop awareness around these patterns so that you can move through them.
True naturopath burnout treatment addresses the whole picture. That means looking at adrenal health, sleep, nutrition, and the emotional and psychological patterns that keep people stuck in the burnout cycle. It’s real stress and burnout therapy that goes beyond advice and into genuine, lasting change.
If you’re ready to stop running on empty, naturopath burnout treatment with Dr. Kandis Lock, ND, can help you find your footing again. Burnout treatment here is grounded in compassion, practicality, and a deep respect for where you are right now.
What is Embodiment and Embodiment Coaching:
Embodiment is most simply put, “how you are”. It’s your subjective experience of how you relate to others and the world using your body as a guide. Our body gives us clues into our habits, patterns and ways of being. When we start to become aware of how we hold our bodies in particular situations, we are then able to shift and make a new choice.
For example, we can look at our hand as an object, “this is a hand”. Or we can look at it subjectively as part of ourselves. This is a hand that gave high fives on the soccer field, that helped a baby, that wiped tears from a loved one’s eyes. And how you hold that hand, shake another hand, and use it in your life says a lot about your patterns.
In embodiment coaching, we discuss your goals, and we find out what you “do” in your body when you are talking or thinking about a topic. We may put you into postures to reveal patterns as well.
Our body is a magnificent and resourceful place to learn about how and why we do the things we do.
